The incredible Otway Harvest Trail which celebrates food, award winning wineries, and artisan products including those from Irrewarra Sourdough Bakery has just launched its new look trail map.
The Otway Harvest Trail was set up a few years ago to attract visitors to the area by promoting the unique landscape, the distinctive produce, and the incredible array of accommodation and quality eateries in the Otway Hinterland behind the Great Ocean Road’s Torquay, Lorne and Apollo Bay.
Many highlights of the trail centre on the township of Birregurra, just 90 minutes south-west of Melbourne, including Brae, which was this year awarded The Age Good Food Guide restaurant of the year title.
You can find all our beautiful Irrewarra Sourdough products at Birregurra Farm Foods and Café or stop at Forrest Brewery for lunch where Irrewarra Sourdough bread is also on the menu.
If you love berries then you’ll find plenty of them on the Otway Harvest Trail. Take the spectacular drive from Lorne through the bush to Deans Marsh and stop at beautiful Gentle Annie Berry Gardens orPennyroyal Raspberry Farm & Cidery along the way. Some of those lovely berries would go really well with our Irrewarra Granola and fresh yoghurt.
We love being part of a community that’s proud to showcase its produce and the quality services it has to offer. So next time you’re visiting the Otway hinterland, grab the Otway Harvest Trail from a tourist information centre and discover for yourself what this fabulous area has to offer.
